It is only $35 a person. The Mission Valley Sunset Rotary Club is hosting a 5k and 10k run around Mission Bay. Kick off Mother’s Day in a healthy way. The run offers beautiful views of the De Anza Cove. This is great for runners of all skill levels and ages. The proceeds go to the San Diego Rescue Mission who provide support for the homeless men, women and children in San Diego.  Check-in starts at 7 am and the run starts at 8 am. Kids under 10 can participate in the Little Tykes 100-meter dash for free. Can’t make the run on Sunday? Girls On The Go Half Marathon &  5k/10k Run-Walk is Saturday  May 9th at 7 am at Fiesta Island.

After a nice run, enjoy a lovely Mother’s Day brunch in San Diego. There are a few restaurants that have Mother’s Day Menus & Specials. Check out Veranda Fireside Lounge & Restaurant. There will be breakfast, lunch and dinner selections. Breakfast will be from 6 am to 10 am, lunch from 11 am to 3 pm and dinner from 5 pm to 10 pm. Enjoy a meal overlooking the Rancho Bernardo Inn golf course this Mother’s Day in San Diego. There will also be special a la carte meals available. Aragon Ballroom is also hosting a brunch buffet. This is going to be held from 10 am to 3 pm. There will be live music, pony rides for kids and also a petting zoo. Tickets are $68 for adults and $35 for children 4 through 12. Reserve a spot at 855-421-2264. Another great place to celebrate Mother’s Day in San Diego is AVANT. There will be 3 courses with a limited bar menu. This is from 11 am to 3 pm. Adults are $65 and kids are $25.

If you’re looking to blow your mother’s mind out of the water, take her to one of the Mother’s Day brunch cruises. The Hornblower Cruise is offering a 2-hour Yacht Cruise with never-ending champagne, mimosas, sparkling cider, coffee, juice and tea. There is a brunch buffet and dessert buffet. Enjoy a live jazz band, while you bask in the ocean scenery. There are three different cruise times: 9 am board, 10:30 am board or 2 pm board. Mom will get a complimentary flower as well. Adults cost $72.95, Children are $43.77 and Senior/Military are $70.95. This is a Mother’s Day in San Diego that won’t be forgotten.
